Cindy Saklad, Controller
Cindy Saklad, unlike many college students, never changed her major; it was always accounting. And as Taylor’s controller, Cindy puts her knack for numbers to good use, overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, insurance, and cash management.
She is also involved in personnel management, including managing company payroll, coordination of company benefits, staffing open positions, performing new hire orientations, coordinating staff participation in seminars and training courses, and maintaining employee files and records. She also assists in the development of company policies, procedures, benefits, and supporting documents.
Cindy earned her B.S. in accounting at Southern New Hampshire University, formerly New Hampshire College. Before joining Taylor in 2001, Cindy worked in various senior-level accounting positions, including business manager for the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, staff accountant for Howe, Riley, and Howe, P.A. She was business manager for The Community Child Care Center for six years, where she also served on the board of directors and was president of the board from 1996 to 1999.
Cindy’s weakness for chocolate may be surpassed only by her enjoyment of long daily walks. She also enjoys going to the movies with her husband and founded the Taylor staff movie group (meeting once monthly over lunch). She lives in Maine, just around the corner from the house she grew up in.
