Joe Hickey, Consultant
When the New England Patriots lost Super Bowl XLII, many of our staff were disappointed, dismayed, or in despair. Joe Hickey was not among those people.
An exuberant, outspoken Giants fan, Joe was delighted with the outcome. When not managing quantitative projects, he can be heard trumpeting the merits of Eli Manning’s MVP candidacy -- sometimes enthusiastically taking his arguments beyond any point of reason, just to elicit a reaction from others. The silver lining for the New England sports fans in the office? Joe is also a Mets fan. Pity.
A native New Yorker, Joe makes the one-hour commute to the office each day from his lakeside home in Maine, which he shares with his wife and young son. In fact, he has traveled all over the country, mostly by car.
Since joining Taylor in 2005, Joe has managed quantitative projects in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on the media and entertainment industry. His recent work includes tracking studies for DIRECTV on brand perception and churn, as well as market share research for AT&T.
Joe has a B.A. in economics from the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. While at UNH he served as a teacher’s assistant for several courses, including an economics honors class. Joe once served as a loan officer at a credit union and a tutor in college-level math, statistics, and accounting.
