The Taylor Group has completed a primary research project on college students’ usage of media, including the Internet, television, movies, and music.
The research involved eight two-hour focus groups with college students at Taylor headquarters in Portsmouth.
These college students are first and foremost products of their environment. They are “plugged in” constantly as a result of their campus lives, and subsequently obtain a plethora of information over the Internet. Their network extends offline, as well—via extensive in-person sharing with friends (of music and movies) and word of mouth as a strong driver of behavior.
